LIfe can be messy, and how we deal with the problems we encounter can affect how we deal with the rest of our lives. This can present itself in many ways: problems in a relationship, unanticipated changes in our lives, moving away from (or back to) your home, just to mention a few. Many people spend much of their time without coming to terms with how their lives, as well as themselves, have changed. While we are built to survive what we experience, it can serve you well to have the counsel of someone who can offer ways to help you prevail over difficult problems. I work to bring my professional, academic and personal experience to bear on these issues for my clients. Having a difficult problem does not have to mean the end of hope: if anything, it can be the beginning of the ability to overcome obstacles and take control of your life.
Most of us understand what the usual triggers are for experiencing distress, but it can be important to understand that there are other experiences we have that could use some support and impartial perspective. These can include, but are not limited to, such things as marriage, a move, or a change in career. Taking the time to reflect and put together a strategy will not eliminate the bumps in the road, but it can be helpful to anticipate them to make them more manageable. I believe I can help with this process.
